Refuge en Provence

Refuge en Provence is a calm, protective garden wrapped around an old mas en pierre. At its heart, a traditional Provençal fountain anchors the space, bringing the sound of water and a strong sense of place to the centre of the garden.
Around the house, soft “clouds” of buxus and pittosporum hug the stone façades, blurring the line between building and planting and reinforcing the feeling of a lived‑in, timeless landscape. In the beds, generous groups of agapanthus bring waves of colour through the season, contrasting beautifully with the greens and greys of the Mediterranean shrubs. Together, these elements show how English Garden created an authentic Mediterranean gardens that feel like a true hideaway in Provence
