Jardin Naturel

Jardin Naturel is a relaxed, naturalistic garden where the architecture of the land and the planting feel completely intertwined. Local stone is used to build the walls and steps that run through the garden, so the hardscape immediately reads as part of the landscape rather than an added layer, giving the whole space a calm, timeless presence.
One of the favourite spots is the old wash basin, a romantic focal point where the eye and the visitor are drawn again and again – and where the daisies clearly love to gather too.
The soft purple haze that runs through the beds for at least nine months of the year comes from generous drifts of perovskias and nepetas, bringing long‑lasting colour, movement and pollinators to this low‑water Mediterranean garden.

A sloping garden for a small villa in the backcountry, the spectacular effect is created simply by an carefully selected and tightly curated plant composition. A mix of native mediterranean species ensures a long flowering combined with interesting textures, while remaining environmentally respectful with its minimal requirement for water.
